Service Project

The San Francisco Stake is celebrating its 80th birthday this month. We have several things going on like ward picnics, firesides and service projects. Last Saturday Peter and I, along with many church members, helped clean up some streets in Chinatown that were named after certain people/things in the Church. There was Pratt street and Brooklyn street (after the ship Brooklyn that some LDS members sailed on to get to California). Peter and I helped paint over some graffiti on another street called Quincy. We had a great time serving and getting to know people from all over the San Francisco area.

We had a fun 4th of July. We got together with two couple who are our best friends out here (Jon, Summer and their kids and Brandon and Jessie). We went to the Douglas County fair for dinner and fireworks. Afterwards we went back to Jon and Summer's and had our own great firework show put on by the 3 guys. I think the adults had more fun than the kids, but they had a great time too! We wish we could have spent that day with all of you.Summer Fun!

SUMMER FUN WITH COUSINS
We had a fun visit with Paul and Emily and their family. The first thing Hannah asked was if she could go swimming. Hannah didn't mind the water temperature being 82 degrees so after dinner some of the kids jumped in and swam until dark. Later we roasted marshmallows and had smores. Their visit was too short and we were sad to say goodbye Thursday afternoon!
